The third race of the Southern Utah Pylon Racing Association's 2009 season was held on Saturday, May 16, 2009.  This race was hosted by the Remote Possibilities RC Club and was held at their flying site in St. George, Utah.  There were a total of 3 rounds completed in 3 classes and all racing was finished in about 3 1/2 hours.

This turned out to be a fantastic event, the weather was typical May weather in St. George with temperatures reaching the mid 90's by the time the race was complete.  There was very little wind and although it did gust a few times during the day, it caused no real problems.

The days racing saw very few problems with the models.  There were no serious crashes that led to complete losses, however there were a few radio problems and a couple of planes had trouble with their throttle control not working.  One airplane in the Quickie class lost both wheels in one of the heats, but the pilot made a fantastic landing which resulted in no damage to the plane, it was an awesome thing of beauty.

There were a total of 12 registered pilots and 20 registered aircraft in the 3 classes.  This race also saw the introduction of a new piece of equipment which made it easier to tell which lap each plane was on and if there were any cuts made during the heat.
