The Southern Utah Pylon Racing Association held another race on August 23, 2008.  The event was hosted by the Cedar City Radio Control Club of Cedar City and was held at the Three Peaks Modelport in Cedar City, Utah.  We were able to complete 3 rounds in 3 classes in just over 2 1/2 hours.

The weather was excellent for the event with temperatures getting a little warm, but almost no wind throughout the day, except for the little whirlwind that came through and turned one of the shade canopies into a parachute.  No damage done other than the shin of the race director which was bruised along with his ego.

Their were no planes that suffered any real damage and all airframes will live to fly another day.  It was a great day of racing and was a good time for all who were there.  The field is still under going some construction and the BLM has poured the concrete pad for the shade awning, which made it nice to have a place to put all the equipment and keep it out of the dirt.

There were a total of 10 registered pilots and 12 registered aircraft in three classes.  A great big thanks goes out to all who participated and helped.
