On May 10, 2008, the Desert Fox Flyers of Mesquite, Nevada hosted a race in conjunction with the "Mesquite Senior Games".  The event was held at the Scenic Flying Field near Mesquite, Nevada.  The weather was very cooperative with warm temperatures and very little wind.  We were able to complete 3 full rounds in 3 classes in approximately 2 1/2 hours.  The racing was excellent and all involved were treated to a great event.  The host club was very gracious and the overall event turned out very well.

The event did prove to be a little too exciting for some of the airframes as the mortality rate for the models was a little high.  5 airplanes saw damage due to problems during takeoff and 2 spectacular mid-air collisions.  3 of the airframes were damaged beyond repair while the other 2 sustained minimal damage.  

There were a total of 7 registered pilots and 10 registered aircraft in three classes.  Medals were awarded to the top 3 points places in each class.
