The day turned out to be a
pretty good one. The wind was a little strong at times but the sky
was a bit overcast and it stayed cool which made for a good day on the
hill.
Don Thomas, Bert Mitchell, Dennis Sherwood,
Lorin Reeder and Leonard Bayless all enjoying a little free flight time
before the events began.
Dennis Sherwood launching his Zagi during
the event. Dennis once again showed his ability to fly just about
anything with wings.
Another good look at the pilots and
spectators as the day progressed.
In between events on the flight line.
A good picture of the flyers as they get
ready for the pylon racing.
This picture is a good example of how much fun slope
soaring can be. Taken just before the combat began, you can see
how good the weather was as the sun did not pose a big problem for the
flyers.
Another good shot of the sky and planes during the combat.
After all the events were completed, all flyers got a
chance to fly at their leisure.
Here we see some planes trying their best at the
limbo. It is a little hard to tell, but there is one plane
tangling with the ribbon and two others on the ground, one at each end
of the poles.
